At the award ceremony, Mayor Sinatra said “In the world of conflict that we see today, culture is the cradle of civilization…It’s a way to have everybody joining together and [bond] together. This has been a common element, which has brought both Americans and Italians together towards peace, and preserving the historic heritage, which is what we are doing today.”
