Captain Daniel "Hungry" Hipol, delivers a brief on Forward Air Controller-Airborne at the first ever Polish Air-Ground Integration conference, held at the Polish Armed Forces Artillery and Weapons Training Center in Torun, Poland, May 21-23. Polish Armed Forces, with direct support from Marine Forces Europe and Marine Corps Security Group, hosted the regional conference in a concerted effort to improve close air support, joint terminal attack control, and fires integration skills between the partner nations involved. Aviators and service members from Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Slovenia, as well as the U.S. and Poland met in Torun to enhance their aviation and ground interoperability and partnership capacity. Hipol is a AH-1W Cobra Attack Helicopter pilot and platoon commander with 1st Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.
