Lt. Cmdr. Winston Centro, perioperative nurse and Plano, Texas resident with 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, prepares Staff Sgt. Travis Allen, platoon sergeant and Dallas resident with javelin platoon, Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, for a cyst removal procedure. Centro is a member of the Forward Resuscitative Surgical System team, a highly mobile shock trauma system that provides a level-two medical capability in field environments. The FRSS team recently supported 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines during exercise African Lion 08 a combined arms, bi-lateral training exercise between U.S. and Moroccan forces in Morocco.
