Night ops: U.S., Romanian Marines conduct nightvision training

U.S. Marines and Sailors deployed with Black Sea Rotational Force 2010 conducted night vision training with Romanian Marines and soldiers, May 19.

The training was part of a two-week peacekeeping operations regiment the U.S. troops are conducting with their partners in the Romanian armed forces. For many of the Romanian troops, it was their first time to use night vision gear.

About 100 Marines are currently deployed to Romania as a Security Cooperation Mairne Air-Ground Task Force. The task force has the mission of promoting regional stability, increasing the military capacity of partner nations and build enduring partnerships in the region.
