Colonel John J. Carroll, the deputy commander of Marine Forces Europe and Africa, and Maj. Christopher Timms, the Nordic future plans officer, visited the U.S. Marines participating in Exercise Arrow 18 as part of a distinguished visitor tour in Pohjankangas Training Area, Finland, May 15, 2018. The Marines conducted live fire drills with tanks with Finnish counterparts. Marine Corps participation in exercises with partners supports NATO and USEUCOM operational plans, increases interoperability with partners, and enables maintenance of fire and maneuver proficiency for participating forces.
