Tear gas fills the streets after U.S. Marines with SPMAGTF Crisis Response – Africa, fire Cougar grenade launchers at the National Gendarmerie Training Center in St. Astier, France, Dec. 1, 2014. The Marines were conducting crowd and riot control training with the French Gendarmerie, allowing the Marines to gain greater knowledge of non-lethal tactics, techniques and procedures while enhancing interoperability with the French Gendarmerie and strengthening the U.S. partnership with France.
