Petty Officer 1st Class Mazamesso Solitoki, a New York, N.Y., native and hospital corpsman with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 14 and members of the Burundi National Defense Force practice combat-lifesaving procedures in Burundi, Aug. 26, 2014, during a tactical advising course with the Burundi National Defense Forces. Topics covered included maintenance management planning, counter improvised explosive device, general engineering, troop leading steps, orders development, combat lifesaving and trauma care, and convoy planning.
