A Norwegian soldier secures a stake to hold his camoflouge netting in place as the weather conditions deteriorated in the location his unit was held up. Approximately 9,000 Norwegian soldiers are training along with 15 other countries, including U.S. forces inside the Arctic Circle during Exercise Cold Response 2014. This exercise emphasizes the strong military bond between the partner countries and improves interoperability between the nations, enhancing access to a key strategic region within the EUCOM area-of-responsibility. The exercise will continue until March 21.
