Roleplaying as the opposition force, Lance Cpl. Nickolas Garrett of Monroe, Ga., fires blank rounds at enemy forces during a simulated amphibious beach landing October 25, 2013. The successful event proved the APS 13 Marines and sailors truly made a difference in the operational efficiency of the African military force. Africa Partnership Station is conducted with the concept that bilateral training with African partners can create effective maritime security and safety that will contribute to the development, economic prosperity and security ashore within Africa.
