Major Claudiuv Vison presents the Marines with a plaque that symbolizes their naval heritage, thanking them for the workshop, Jan. 29. This three-day workshop, with the only battalion of Marines in Romania, covered tactics and troop-leading procedures and how the U.S. Marine Corps utilizes their noncommissioned officers in squad-sized elements.

Romanian Marines take the U.S. Marines through their museum which held several historic artifacts for the Romanians, Jan. 29, in Babadag, Romania. This museum held artifacts from World War I to current exercises that the unit has participated in. This was at the end of a three-day workshop that the U.S. Marines held with the only Romanian Marine battalion about tactics and troop leading procedures and how the U.S. Marines utilize there noncommissioned officers.

A Romanian Marine sits through the naval infantry squad offensive tactics and procedures workshop given by U.S. Marines in Babadag, Romania, Jan. 29. The workshop reviewed tactics and maneuvers in a classroom setting, ensuring all participants had a clear understanding of the basic movements. The Romanians and U.S. Marines compared the use of small-unit leaders and found ways to adapt these responsibility’s in to their squad-sized tactics.
