Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves (left) receives a gift from Brig. Gen. Paul W. Brier, commander of Marine Forces Europe and Marine Forces Africa, prior to the demonstration of a combined U.S./Estonian amphibious assault. The amphibious landing was part of a demonstration of the interoperability between the two forces as part of exercise Baltic Operations 2010, an exercise designed to increase the interoperability of NATO and partner nations in the Baltic Sea region.
