A U.S. Marine with the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa 19.2, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, gives a safety brief during an advanced-manufacturing charge range at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy, June 25, 2019. Explosive ordnance disposal technicians with SPMAGTF-CR-AF 19.2 conducted the range using shaped charges and colliding shockwave charge platforms designed and developed on a 3-D printer. The training exercise advanced the technician’s expertise by developing and testing specialized charges. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is deployed to conduct crisis-response and theater-security operations in Africa and promote regional stability by conducting military-to-military training exercises throughout Europe and Africa.
