Federal employees in the Greater St. Louis Area contributed more than $3.2 million to a variety of local and national charities during the 2007-2008 Gateway Combined Federal Campaign.

This year's campaign slogan, Give from the Heart, Change Someone's World, set the theme for the hundreds of volunteers who gave diligently of their time to contact more than 30,000 federal employees working in the Greater St. Louis Area.

From these efforts, this years' CFC raised a total of $3,266,870, exceeding the previous year's total by more than $45,000.

Nationally, CFC is recognized as the largest, most successful and efficient workplace fundraising model in the world. All contributions to the CFC are tax-deductible, and all charities which apply to participate go through an annual review process lead by teams of federal employees.

Federal workers' personal contributions will benefit a wide range of charities, strengthening programs throughout the Greater St. Louis Area as well as others across the country and around the world.
